Tea Time

June 4, 2007 |

Green tea has been used for medicinal purposes in China for centuries, but the west has only recently discovered its many health benefits. Studies have shown that green tea contains powerful anti-oxidants not contained in black or oolong teas. Your skin can benefit from these anti-oxidants as well. This wonderfully simple tonic will cleanse, tone and soothe tired facial skin and can be applied before mosturizing. Since the anti-oxidants in the tea can degrade over time, this is best made fresh each time you want to use it.

Ingredients:
One bag organic green tea
1/2 C boiling water

Directions:
Steep the tea bag in a cup with just enough water to cover the bag. Let the tea cool for at least five minutes. Use a cotton ball or pad to soak up some of the cooled tea, and swab onto a freshly washed face
