Back in February I did a Review/Giveaway for the Pure Bamboo Moso Range. Imagine my excitement when I was sent a Pet Area Deodoriser to try out. As some of you may or may not know I share my living space with a rather smelly poodle named Mickey . Forever trying to mask the smell can at times be quite tricky. Mickey enjoys his weekly ritual of a shampoo & blow-dry but it’s not enough ( he is quite old ) So before I tell you about my experience using the Pet Area Deodoriser let me tell you a bit about Pure Bamboo.

Pure Bamboo had been looking for a natural, reusable and recyclable product without perfumes or chemicals. One that didn’t cover smells but in fact absorbed them, along with moisture and chemicals.

Moso Bamboo is one of the fastest growing resources on the planet, with amazing abilities and benefits for all. Moso Bamboo absorbs a large amount of co2 from the air /atmosphere and the way in which it is grown and harvested is environmentally friendly leaving little impact compared to other forms of farming.

* Bamboo charcoal in the home is shown to improve sleep, digestion and circulation and to create a more calm and healthy environment.

* Bamboo Charcoal has concentrated nutrients and an abundance of trace mineral elements including potassium, sodium, calcium and magnesium. When added to water, these elements neutralise and enhance the quality of the water while absorbing harmful chemicals.

Absorbs odours and moisture from pet areas, beds and cat litter boxes

Well I am here to tell you that YES it does in-fact live up to its claims. It is the perfect size too. I was left wondering how can something so small get rid of all that smell. I love Mickey but frankly speaking he stinks 24/7, living up the back with my elderly aunt in a granny flat, Mickey is an indoor dog who rarely leaves his seat I could wash him 5 days a week and he would still smell. Imagine how bad it gets in winter with all the doors and windows closed and the heater cranked. My aunt recently went away for 3 weeks leaving me to care for Mickey. I found it to be the perfect opportunity to test out the Pet Area Deodoriser. For 3 weeks Mickey lay up in that unit with all the doors and windows closed only leaving his comfort zone to go do his doggy business outside or eat his dinner. I left the Pet Area Deodoriser up there with him. Not only did it soak up his “stench” but it also kept the air inside the unit quite crisp and fresh. I would love to see a pet shampoo & conditioner or even a dog coat that has bamboo sewn into it somehow I would most definitely use those on Mickey.

Once a month you leave it outside to recharge by placing it in direct sunlight for 2 hours per side.

I have 3 other Items from them and I would really need the Pet Area deodoriser for my smelly pets! The other Items are working fantastic since I bought them 5 month ago.

You leave it out in the sunlight for 2 hours each side a total of 4 hours each month for 12 months with a total of 48 hours. Then you can recycle it
