25+ Beauty Recipes Using Relaxing Chamomile

October 17, 2021 by Shellie Wilson 1 Comment

Chamomile is actually one of my favorite herbs to use, drink and soak in. I first started using chamomile in a DIY facial to calm my redness and then again using the tea for sleeping and on a recent pre covid holiday I was using the tea bags in the hotel room to dab onto my wind burnt face in Scotland.  Chamomile tea is renowned for calming the mind and body but it also calms the skin too. All of these recipes use Chamomile.

Chamomile flowers are a pretty way to add color and texture to your bath and body recipes, dried botanicals in skin care is very popular right now too.

Chamomile essential oils are another way to add a few drops of chamomile goodness to your homemade recipes and a single bottle goes a long way and can be used in so many of the recipes below.

Chamomile tea bags are easily available and can be very affordable at your local supermarket.

Did you know there are actually two types of common chamomile, German and Roman. I do not have a preference, so choose one that suits your budget.

Whether you are making these recipes to calm your mind or calm your skin, I hope you find a way to apply the oils to your beauty regime, You could start with a chamomile bath bomb recipe and finish off your bath with a lotion or facial spritz.

If you have teenage girls, it’s a great time to get them started on Chamomile tea as several studies have linked chamomile tea to reduced severity of menstrual cramps. You can add sugar and serve it chilled too.

Chamomile is known for reducing inflammation, inflammation is an immune system reaction to fight infection so drinking tea or rubbing lotion onto your body when you have a cold, flu can really help soothe your body.
