5 DIY Sandalwood Soap Recipes To Help Your Man Smell Sexy

August 6, by Shellie Wilson. Leave a Comment

Sandalwood is my second favourite essential oil, second to Ylang Ylang. Sandalwood has an earthly robust smell and is often used in men’s colognes and aftershaves. Sandalwood is a natural aphrodisiac too, hence the “sexy” part of this post.

Sandalwood is a name given to a class of fragrant woods that, unlike other aromatic woods, can retain their fragrance for decades. It is so special that unfortunately is one of the more expensive oils but in my experience, a little goes a long way.

Sandalwood is a mild astringent and has antibacterial qualities. It is also anti-inflammatory and can be useful for certain skin irritations like acne and eczema, but mostly it just smells amazing! All of these soaps and the face mask use Sandalwood essential oils and although this article is aimed at men, I would 100% use these handmade soaps too.

Sandalwood essential oil is one of the most popular ingredients used in soap recipes, due to its numerous health benefits. Not only does it have a pleasant, woodsy scent, but it is also known to have a number of therapeutic properties. Sandalwood essential oil has been used in traditional medicine for centuries and is now being used in modern skincare products, such as soaps, to help improve skin health.

The main health benefits of using sandalwood essential oil in soap recipes include reducing inflammation, treating skin rashes, and moisturizing the skin. Sandalwood essential oil is a natural anti-inflammatory, which can help reduce redness and swelling. It is also known to help soothe and reduce the severity of skin rashes, which can be caused by allergies, eczema, or other skin conditions. Sandalwood essential oil also has hydrating properties, which help keep the skin supple and moisturized.

In addition to these health benefits, sandalwood essential oil is also known to have antiseptic and antimicrobial properties. This means that it can help protect the skin from bacteria and other microbes, as well as helping to reduce the risk of infection. Sandalwood essential oil is also known to have calming and soothing properties, which can help to reduce stress and improve mental wellbeing.

Sandalwood essential oil is an incredibly versatile ingredient, which is why it is used in so many different soap recipes. Not only does it have a pleasant scent, but it also has numerous health benefits which make it an ideal choice for improving skin health. If you are looking to incorporate sandalwood essential oil into your soap recipes, make sure to choose a high-quality product to ensure maximum benefit.

Sandalwood is a popular and luxurious scent that is known for its calming and grounding properties. If you’re a fan of this warm and woodsy aroma, then you’ll love this DIY sandalwood soap recipe. Not only does it smell amazing, it’s also easy to make and customize to your own preferences.

Here’s what you’ll need to make your own sandalwood soap:

  • 5 oz. of clear glycerin soap base
  • 1/4 tsp. of sandalwood essential oil
  • 1/4 tsp. of rose essential oil (optional)
  • Molds (such as silicone or plastic)
  • A microwave-safe measuring cup
  • A spoon or spatula

Here’s how to make your soap:

  1. Cut the glycerin soap base into small chunks and place them in the microwave-safe measuring cup.
  2. Microwave the soap base in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until it is fully melted. This should take about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Once the soap base is melted, add the sandalwood and rose essential oils. Stir well to combine.
  4. Pour the soap mixture into the molds and allow it to cool and set for at least 2 hours.
  5. Once the soap is set, gently pop it out of the molds and it’s ready to use!

This sandalwood soap recipe makes a gentle and moisturizing soap that is perfect for all skin types. The addition of rose essential oil gives it a romantic and floral scent, but you can omit it or try using other essential oils to customize the scent to your liking.
