DIY Mango Body Scrub

September 23, by Shellie Wilson. Leave a Comment

The goodness of mango and oats makes this recipe a great exfoliating idea. This DIY body recipe shows you how to make your own Mango body scrub. Mango is full of antioxidants and natural fruit oils that will replenish and hydrate your skin.

DIY body scrubs are a great way to give handmade gifts to friends, family, and even yourself. Not only are they thoughtful presents, but they also have a variety of beneficial effects on the skin. Body scrubs can help to exfoliate, moisturize, and nourish the skin, giving it a healthy glow.

Exfoliating with a body scrub helps to remove dead skin cells and any impurities that can lead to a dull complexion. By removing these elements, body scrubs help to reveal softer, smoother skin and a brighter complexion. They can also help to reduce the appearance of acne and prevent ingrown hairs.

In addition to exfoliating, body scrubs can also help to nourish the skin and lock in moisture. Many body scrubs are made with natural oils, such as coconut, jojoba, or almond, which can help to replenish the skin and protect it from dryness. These oils are also rich in antioxidants, which can help to fight the signs of aging.

Finally, DIY body scrubs are an excellent way to relax and unwind. The act of scrubbing the skin with a body scrub can be incredibly therapeutic, and many scrubs are made with essential oils that can help to relieve stress and create a calming atmosphere.

Overall, DIY body scrubs can be a great way to give a handmade gift that is both thoughtful and beneficial to the recipient’s skin. They can help to exfoliate, nourish, and moisturize the skin, while also providing relaxation and stress relief.

DIY Overnight Lip Mask

Chapped and dry lips are a common problem that many people face, especially during the colder months of the year. Dry lips can be uncomfortable, unsightly, and even painful in severe cases. While there are many lip balms and moisturizers available on the market, they may not always provide the level of hydration and nourishment that your lips need. That’s where a DIY overnight lip mask comes in.

An overnight lip mask is a nourishing treatment that you can apply to your lips before bed to help hydrate and soften them while you sleep. This type of lip mask is particularly beneficial because it allows the ingredients to penetrate and moisturize your lips for an extended period of time, giving you a soft and smooth pout by morning.

Making your own DIY overnight lip mask is simple and cost-effective. Most of the ingredients you need can be found in your kitchen, and you can customize the recipe to suit your preferences and specific needs. For example, you can use different oils, such as almond oil or jojoba oil, or add essential oils like peppermint or tea tree oil to provide additional benefits.

A basic DIY overnight lip mask typically includes a natural oil, such as coconut oil or olive oil, which helps to moisturize and nourish the lips. Honey is often added for its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, as well as its ability to help lock in moisture. Other ingredients such as shea butter, aloe vera gel, or vitamin E oil can also be added to enhance the nourishing properties of the lip mask.

In addition to being a simple and effective way to care for your lips, a DIY overnight lip mask is also a fun and relaxing self-care activity. Mixing the ingredients, applying the mask, and taking a few minutes to pamper yourself can be a great way to unwind after a long day. So why not give it a try and wake up to soft, smooth lips?

Some of the trending Lip masks are flavoured as fruits such as grape, you can add your own flavouring too.

DIY overnight lip mask:

Ingredients:

1 tablespoon coconut oil
1 tablespoon honey
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1-2 drops lavender essential oil (optional)
Instructions:

In a small mixing bowl, combine the coconut oil, honey, vanilla extract, and lavender essential oil (if using).

Mix the ingredients together until they are well combined.

Transfer the mixture to a small, clean container with a lid.

Apply a small amount of the lip mask to your lips before bed, using your finger or a clean lip brush.

Leave the lip mask on overnight, allowing the ingredients to penetrate and nourish your lips.

In the morning, gently wipe off any remaining lip mask with a damp washcloth.

Store the remaining lip mask in a cool, dry place for up to two weeks.

The combination of coconut oil and honey in this lip mask helps to moisturize and nourish dry, chapped lips, while the vanilla extract and lavender essential oil provide a soothing and relaxing scent. Give this DIY overnight lip mask a try and wake up to soft, smooth lips!
