So apparently she wasn’t just caught out without a pad or a tampon it was intentional. You can read the article here. But to sum it up, it was all about woman’s rights and the struggle we undergo once a month. It was also highlighting how some woman don’t have access to sanitary items.
The exposure she has got is great and it’s great that everyone is looking at her, but aren’t we all doing it for the wrong reason? Surely there is a less dramatic way of making a point. Check out this Australian plea for a Sanitary collection for the homeless just as affective with a lot less blood.
So obviously the homeless might not have access to washing services for these DIY re-useable pads but poor people with roofs over the head might so we thought they were worth donating.
