~Roxana Illuminated Perfume~

April 3, by Kimberly Ayers. 4 Comments

Very rarely do I refer to someone being “a perfume in a past life” ~ in fact there are only a handful of talented women who I’ve referred to as such. Roxana Villa is one of those souls who can blend up perfumes that create pure magic!

I was sent a sample of each of Roxana’s beautiful creations and I instantly was taken aback at the luscious presentation. Beautiful packaging that is art mixed with aromatics. What more could someone ask for? How about some music? Yes! Music that accompanied the perfume! An incredible CD that Roxana’s husband Greg Spalenka put together that is just……..a perfect partner to the perfumes.

The philosophy of Roxana Illuminated Perfumes is fabulous and the company gives back to the earth and community. Each perfume also has stunning artwork to represent it, again created by Greg Spalenka. In addition, each perfume represents a series as you’ll see in the descriptions below.

Q is inspired by the Coastal Live Oaks of California and is part of the California Series. A portion of the proceeds from this perfume goes to help support the California Oak Foundation. Serene and deep, it consists of Tinctured Live California Oak Leaves, Italian bergamot, wood and resin.

Chaparral ~ California Series that is inspired by the California wood and grassland known as the Chaparral biome. This is fresh herbals mingled with wood. YUM! Even more wonderful…….a portion of the proceeds from this perfume support the California Chaparral Institute.

Vera is also a part of the California Series. Fresh mown hay, Lavender and Orange Blossom. Mmm-mm!! The Ojai Lavender Festival receives portions of the proceeds from this perfume.

Aurora is a perfume inspired by “heaven and earth.” I can’t think of any other way to describe it as when you smell it you feel as if you’re in heaven being kisssed by angel wings.

Vespertina (My absolute FAVORITE!) is part of the LiterariumSeries, that honors the art of storytelling. This is the perfume that was inspired by the Vesperatina music CD – but I found that the CD transcends a multitude of boundaries and goes well with each perfume! This is a blend or orange, floral and earth.

Lyra is part of the Literarium Series. I found this sample mysteriously missing from it’s box and just about drove myself crazy trying to find it. It was finally found hidden carefully away in my 7 year old daughter’s jewelry box. It seems that this is HER blend and she hid it away for herself! We both love this blend that is tropical flowers, amber base and citrus notes.

I could sit here all day and write reason after reason why one should run over to the Roxana Illuminated Perfume site. Perfumes that are ethereal, enveloping, soulful and that have the ability to transport you to a different place and time tend to do that to me. Try them out for yourself. Generous 3ml samples are available in sets of 3 at a nominal price if you can’t decide which perfume to buy. Also available are gift sets, beautiful necklaces with the perfume inspired artwork and of course, the music CD as well.

You won’t be disappointed! Roxana Illuminated Perfume
