Infusions are a easily made, if you have ever made a cup of tea, you have made an infusion. In an infusion the softer more delicate parts of a plant are used ( flowers & leaves )

Cut or crush the herb into small pieces before making the infusion.

Step 1: Pour 250ml of boiling water aver 15gm of dried herb or 45gm of fresh herb.

Step 2: Place a lid on the teapot or a plate over the cup or jug to ensure minimal loss of volatile substances such as essential oils.

Step 3: Allow the herb to steep for 10 to 15 minutes

Step 4: Strain the herb material out of the infusion and filter if necessary.

The infusion may be used on the skin either warm or cool depending on its purpose.
