I’m a long-time CP soaper but I’ve never tried the opposite way (hot process) using a crockpot before…hmmm…what a clever idea. Using leftover coffee and coffee grounds this tutorial shows you how to make a good looking and hard working soap for your kitchen that will help get rid of strong smells and be a bit scrubby too — perfect for all those messy spring jobs. I think the soap came out looking wonderful and I love that she recycled a Pringle’s container as the mold! Find all the how-tos from Heart ~ Hands ~ Home here. One caveat: in the Northeastern US I can’t find 100% lye in any kind of store, I have to buy it online…but your mileage may vary.
