Villianess Soaps

I’ve mentioned Villainess’s awesome products before, but I just can’t resist raving about them once more now that holiday shopping season is underway. What I am currently in love with right now are the Smooch! scrubs in Pyromania, Dulces en Fuego, and Ginger Snapped; the Whipped in Decadence; and the soaps in Canaan and Datura.

The Smooch! scrubs use the light, but nourishing grapeseed oil and vegetable butters, which moisturize without leaving any excess oil on your skin. The sugar or sea salt used in the scrubs are not too harsh and leave your skin feeling so smooth! The soaps lather well without using harsh detergents and last for a long time. But my favorite product of all is the Whipped in the Decadence scent. Whipped is the first body creme that I have tried in a long time that absorbs easily into your skin without leaving any greasy feeling, but is very long lasting. And the smell is positively amazing with vanilla, tonka and coconut. This is not the fake sugary vanilla scent that you may know – this is warm and rich and luscious and almost bittersweet.

As for the other fragrances, Pyromania smells spicily of black pepper, Dulces en Fuego has the amazing fragrance of chocolate, vanilla and nutmeg all in one; Ginger Snapped smells like a gingerbread cookie; Datura smells of tuberose, gardenia and frangipani; and Canaan smells sweet, warm and spicy like honey, jasmine, cloves and tuberose. Every fragrance blend is so unique and the scent lasts for hours after use.

New to the Villainess product line are perfume oils, which I can’t wait to try.

You can find Villainess products here. Pick some up for gifts or just something for yourself. You won’t be disappointed!

Witch’s Brew Halloween Body Scrub – A Spooky DIY for Glowing Halloween Skin

When October hits and the pumpkins roll out, it’s the perfect time to stir up a little bubbling brew—for your skin! This Witch’s Brew Body Scrub is a fun, fizzy, exfoliating scrub made with natural ingredients and a hint of Halloween magic. It sloughs off dead skin, boosts circulation, and leaves you silky smooth, just in time for costume parties or cozy nights in.

Whether you’re prepping for a haunted house event or simply want a little pampering after handing out candy all night, this scrub is your go-to potion.

Why You’ll Love This DIY Halloween Scrub

  • Looks like a bubbling cauldron (especially in black or purple jars)
  • Gently exfoliates and moisturizes dry autumn skin
  • Scented with spooky-good essential oils (think patchouli, orange, and clove)
  • Made with simple pantry staples
  • Customisable with shimmer, color, or even candy eyeballs (for visual fun—not for use!)

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sugar (white or brown)
  • ¼ cup coconut oil (or grapeseed oil)
  • 1 tbsp activated charcoal (for a spooky black color)
  • ½ tsp green mica or cosmetic-grade shimmer (optional cauldron glow)
  • 5 drops orange essential oil
  • 3 drops clove essential oil
  • 2 drops patchouli or cinnamon essential oil
  • Optional: ½ tsp vanilla extract (for a sweet twist)
  • Optional topping: candy eyeballs or star confetti (for display only!)

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, combine sugar, charcoal, and mica powder. Stir until evenly mixed.
  2. Add the coconut oil and stir to create a wet, sandy texture.
  3. Drop in the essential oils and vanilla extract, if using. Mix well.
  4. Spoon into a small jar or Halloween-themed container. If gifting, top with a candy eyeball or wrap with a “Witch’s Brew” label.

How to Use:

In the shower, scoop a tablespoon and gently massage into damp skin in circular motions. Avoid the face (due to charcoal), and rinse thoroughly. Follow with body butter or lotion for spellbinding softness.

Gifting Idea:

Pair it with a “Batty Bath Bomb” or “Pumpkin Spice Lip Balm” in a little Halloween basket. Great for party favours, teacher gifts, or seasonal markets!
