DIY Oatmeal Sugar Cubes For Dry Skin

As someone who has always struggled with dry, rough skin, I am always on the lookout for new and effective ways to keep my skin soft and smooth. After trying a variety of store-bought skincare products, I decided to try making my own at home. That’s when I discovered the amazing benefits of DIY oatmeal sugar scrub cubes.

These little cubes or rounds (I used a round mold I already had) are not only easy to make, but they are also incredibly effective at exfoliating and moisturizing dry skin. And the best part? You can customize them to suit your skin type and preferences, making them a great addition to any skincare routine.

Here’s what you’ll need to make your own DIY oatmeal sugar scrub cubes:

1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup coconut oil
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/4 cup honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

First, you’ll need to mix together the brown sugar, rolled oats, and coconut oil in a bowl until well combined. Next, add in the honey and vanilla extract and continue to mix until the mixture becomes a thick, paste-like consistency.

Once your mixture is ready, it’s time to create the cubes. You can use an ice cube tray or silicone mold to create the cubes. Simply spoon the mixture into the mold, making sure to pack it tightly. Once the mold is filled, place it in the freezer for a few hours until the mixture has hardened.

When you’re ready to use the cubes, simply take one out of the mold and use it to scrub your skin. The brown sugar acts as a natural exfoliant, while the coconut oil and honey moisturize and nourish the skin. The rolled oats help to soothe and calm any inflammation or irritation.

I’ve found that using these oatmeal sugar scrub cubes a few times a week has made a significant difference in the appearance and feel of my skin, especially on my heels. My skin is softer, smoother, and more hydrated than ever before. Plus, it’s a great way to indulge in a little self-care and pampering at home.

One of the best things about these DIY oatmeal sugar scrub cubes is that you can customize them to suit your skin’s needs. If you have oily skin, you can add a few drops of tea tree oil to the mixture to help control oil production. If you have acne-prone skin, you can add a teaspoon of turmeric powder to the mixture to help reduce inflammation and prevent breakouts.

You can also experiment with different essential oils to create different scents and benefits. Lavender essential oil is great for relaxing and calming the skin, while peppermint essential oil can help to invigorate and energize the skin.

Overall, these DIY oatmeal sugar scrub cubes are a simple, affordable, and effective way to keep your skin soft and smooth. They are also a fun and creative way to indulge in a little self-care and pampering at home. So why not give them a try and see the difference they can make for your skin?
