Recipes Using Helichrysum Essential Oil

May 11, by Shellie Wilson. Leave a Comment

This roundup is all about Helichrysum Essential Oil. I recently started creating roundups that used the same oil rather than a style of DIY. Why? I was getting into the bad habit of buying an Essential oil for the purpose of one recipe but then being stuck with 25mls of extra oil essential oil. Which as you may know would be a very expensive project.

Known as the Immortal or Everlasting Flower, Helichrysum holds many benefits for skin but is currently most popular for its ability to promote a healthy metabolism and aid in weight loss. Helichrysum Essential Oil is being marketed as a weight-loss essential oil.

Helichrysum Essential Oil has been known as Immortality oil, I think this is partially causes no one knows how to actually say it, and spelling it correctly it a nightmare too.  Helichrysum Essential Oil is used for arthritis and aging skin, why?  because of its rejuvenating benefits for the skin and ability to improve the complexion.

it has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. This means it may help kill bacteria, viruses, and fungi that can cause infections.

The anti-inflammatory properties of helichrysum could reduce symptoms related to an infection, such as swelling, pain, and redness.

Helichrysum essential oil blends well with Rose, Clary Sage, Geranium, and Lavender oils.  Blending with Lavender being my favorite, Clary sage has a very strong earthy scent.

If you are using this essential oil for weight loss I suggest taking a look at this Weight-loss PDF put together by Doterra.  If you’re trying to lose extra pounds, you may want to consider adding essential oils to your weight loss plan. Essential oils may be able to provide you with a number of complementary benefits.
