Matilda Kahl wears the same clothes to work everyday (work days). Why does she do this? According to a recent article on her she does it because it increases her productivity and prevents hours being wasted on knowing what to wear. Could you give up fashion and force yourself into a uniform even though it’s not required?
This all sounds very familiar to me, because when I started school my mother got tired of me choosing my outfits that she bought me a school uniform. Doesn’t sound bad right? But I was the only child to have one. She basically bought some generic blue checked dress from the shops and told me I was special. I was lead to believe that I was the only kid who could afford one. I don’t know why I never wondered why my brothers didn’t have one. I can laugh about it now as I don’t (think) it did much damage to me.
Now having a daughter of my own I totally understand why my mother did it.
Thankfully my children’s School has a uniform requirement. How do you cope with kids choosing outfits on a daily basis?
