Okay. Would you wash your hands with glue or paint? I certainly wouldn’t.
These flubber soap recipes looked promising but as I watched it, I realized that most of the recipes were just the famousΒ (or infamous) slime with a drop of essential oil. I got worried as I figured out that you would be washing your hands with Boric Acid! (Also known as Borax) For those who don’t know what Borax is, to put it flatly is a dangerous chemical used in slime that causes irritation to the skin and eyes and can disrupt hormones. The other recipes looked okay, but it was just the slime-like recipes that caught me. Take a look for yourself and see what you think. Would you wash your hands with paint?

Boric Acid is also used as an eyewash and an anti fungal, among other healthful things. π Look it up.

There is actually a dry powder hands soap out there called BORAXO that is boric acid based. My father used it while I was growing up and we used it when he got the bathroom sink all grimy and greasy after washing his hands when he came in from the garage. None of the 3 daughters or my mother or father were ever harmed or hurt from it.
