3 Easy Homemade Organic Face Creams
Our skin deserves organic ingredients the same way we nourish our body with organic foods. Many non-organic products contain harmful and toxic chemicals that cause skin rashes, irritation, and in extreme cases, cancer. Homemade face creams are free from these harmful chemicals and preservatives, they are easy to make at home and cost efficient.
How can I make my own face cream?
Without further ado, I am sharing three simple and easy homemade face cream recipes created by Eve Cabanel. They can be made simply by combining and blending butter and oil; for example, shea butter and jojoba oil work best for face moisturizing.
What is the best ingredient for making a face cream?
Hands down, the best ingredient for face moisturizing is Shea butter! It is extracted from shea tree nuts and is an essential ingredient in many cosmetic and skincare products. Shea butter also serves as an itch relief and anti-inflammatory product as it contains fatty acids and vitamins that moisturize, condition, and smoothens the skin. It effectively hydrates the skin, replenishing the skin’s lost moisture. Shea butter is an antioxidant that helps in regenerating cells, reduces wrinkles and fine lines, and does not make the skin oily.

This homemade anti-aging cream can be made in 4 easy steps and keeps the skin healthy, lesser fine lines, even tone, and reduced acne. It is helpful specifically for sun-damaged and mature skin.
- Ucuuba butter has high levels of vitamins A & C. Vitamin A is commonly known as retinol in the beauty industry and is often used in top-of-the-line skincare products to treat acne, fine lines, and other signs of aging. Vitamin C helps to reverse DNA damage.
- Argan oil is popular due to its high moisturizing ability and presence of Vitamin A, E, and antioxidants that hydrates and tone the skin.
- Shea butter is a rich nut butter naturally soothing to the skin and high in anti-aging Vitamin E. Its high fatty acid content enables it to nourish the skin and fight signs of aging.
- Camellia seed oil is rich in omega-6 fatty acids and antioxidants, making it an anti-aging megastar to complete this homemade anti-aging cream.
- Frankincense oil is loaded with antioxidants and has been used for hundreds of years to boost skin health.
- Rose geranium essential oil has a soothing effect on the skin and has natural antiseptic properties making it ideal for treating inflammatory conditions like acne. Bonus point, it smells divine!
