For some, the task of decorating a bathroom is not an easy one. It can sometimes be difficult to find that balance between using the right amount of décor, yet utilizing your space with its full potential of storage and organization. Today we have brought you 6 ideas to help solve that dilemma.
Here are some bathroom storage and organization ideas that are both decorative, yet functional. One of my favorite ways to store items in the bathroom is a tiered rack that either goes on the back of the bathroom door or over the shower screen.
It enables you to manage all your bathroom items. Though my biggest advice is to make sure you really do need everything in your bathroom.
Pull everything out for two weeks, and ONLY put back the items you have used.
Everything else can either be dumped, donated, or stored somewhere else in the house. Don’t clutter up your everyday bathroom space with something that you do not need. Every day you look at this bathroom clutter and bathroom mess, clear the mess with DIY bathroom storage, and clear your stress.
Here are some of my top suggestions for maintaining and organizing your bathroom –
- Tiered Racks: Tiered racks are a great way to maximize your bathroom storage space while also making it look neat and organized. This type of storage solution can either be mounted on the back of the bathroom door or over the shower screen. They are ideal for storing items such as shampoo bottles, soap, and other bathroom essentials. Make sure to choose a tiered rack that matches the overall style and decor of your bathroom.
- Wall-mounted Shelving: Wall-mounted shelves are an excellent way to add extra storage space in your bathroom without taking up valuable floor space. They can be used to store items such as towels, washcloths, or even decorative items. When choosing wall-mounted shelves, look for ones that are adjustable so you can customize the height to fit your specific storage needs.
- Under-sink Cabinets: The area under the sink is a great place to store items such as cleaning supplies, extra toilet paper, or even a basket for dirty laundry. Installing a cabinet with doors can help keep these items out of sight and make your bathroom look more organized. If you have a pedestal sink, consider installing a pull-out drawer instead.
- Baskets and bins: Baskets and bins are an easy and affordable way to add extra storage to your bathroom. They can be used to store items such as extra towels, washcloths, or even beauty products. Look for baskets and bins with lids to keep items out of sight and to prevent clutter from becoming visible.
- Over-the-toilet Shelving: The space above the toilet is often underutilized, but it can be a great place for extra storage. Over-the-toilet shelving units can be used to store items such as extra towels, decorative items, or even a basket for dirty laundry. When choosing an over-the-toilet shelving unit, make sure it is sturdy and can support the weight of the items you plan to store on it.
- Hanging Organizers: Hanging organizers are a great way to keep items such as towels, washcloths, or even beauty products within easy reach. They can be hung on hooks or over the shower screen, making them an ideal storage solution for smaller bathrooms. Look for hanging organizers with multiple pockets or compartments to keep items separate and organized.
you can easily transform your bathroom into a well-organized and clutter-free space. It’s important to keep in mind that less is more when it comes to decorating a bathroom. Start by decluttering the space and only keeping items that are essential. Then, choose storage solutions that are both functional and decorative to help make your bathroom look neat and tidy. Finally, remember to keep the space clean and organized on a regular basis to maintain a stress-free environment.
