Abeeco Bee Venom Mask Review

November 18, 2011 by Nellie Lee Luhrmann 8 Comments

You  probably  remember hearing all the “Buzz” about  Abeeco Bee Venom Mask in the press especially with the not so recent wedding of Kate Middleton to Prince William. I got to thinking if Kate Middelton, Victoria Beckham, Gwyneth Paltrow, The Duchess Of Cornwall, Danni Minogue & Michelle Pfeiffer  are all using it ……. well than so am I. Let me tell you a bit about how this latest beauty treatment works, hailed as the natural alternative to Botox ( Botulism ewww no thanks give me a natural alternative any day ) the Bee Venom (collected *safely and seasonally from beehives on the South Island  in New Zealand )  infused with New Zealand Manuka Honey, Shea Butter with Essential Oils Of  Lavender & Rose actually  fools the skin into thinking it has been lightly stung, which in turn stimulates the production of the skins naturally occurring chemicals collagen & elastin creating a tightening and smoothing effect. Now I have been stung by a bee before and it hurts so I was a bit scared at first but upon further investigation via the BEEVENOMMASK.COM WEBSITE in regards to percentages used etc my fears were put to rest and I got my “tester face” ready.  There are two options to choose from when using this mask you can either use it as a mask and leave it on for 20 minutes then wipe off or simply use it like you would your moisturiser. I went with option 2 ( I am not wiping it off I need all the help I can get ) After doing a patch test I got the green light to go ahead and put it on half  of my face and neck. The first time there was a stinging sensation nothing to cry about not really painful at all. I am telling you, no lie right before my very eyes this mask turned back the clock by 5 years on half  of my face. I thought surely I was imagining things so I turned to hubby ( he was my medic if things turned ugly, which they didn’t ) just to double-check that he was seeing what I was seeing

.  His words exactly quote “Oh wow………..wow……..honey, ah that really works. You better go and do the other half now”  You can see in the pic ( please excuse the deer in the headlights look ) on my right ( your left ) hand  side of my face the lines on my forehead actually disappear at my nose. Under my eyes and around my mouth have also plumped up nicely. My skin felt smooth and quite soft after application. The cream was non greasy, I experienced no breakouts or skin/eye disruptions whatsoever. The only thing I felt was a very slight stinging sensation nothing like a bee sting thats for sure and some  tightening which was nice upon application. I used it every night for a week and as time went on the stinging sensation lessened. I had a break for a week and upon reapplication I got the sensation back. So even though I could not feel it all that time it was still working, I had just gotten used to it. Who would have thought huh? Now if I could go back in a time machine and tell a 6 year old Nellie that she would be putting Bee Venom on her face at 31 what would she think? She would probably think I was crazy. Well I’m not!!  I am proof that Abeeco Bee Venom Mask works it really works. Want to find out more about Abeeco Bee Venom Mask?  Sign up to their newsletter , follow them on FB ( tell em Nellie from Craft Gossip sent you and check out all of the  promotions happening at the moment ) or just buy some yourself  $69.95 well spent. It does not just stop at the Bee Venom Mask check out the Royal Eye Cream, Bee Venom Lip Plumper and the Anti Ageing Support Creme  ( These 3 products are available  for shipping from November 23rd 2011  Did somebody say Bee Venom lip Plumper ? Where can I get me some of that!!

A big shout out to Jude, thank you for sending out the Bee Venom Mask 🙂

* The bees come into contact with an electrically charged glass surface which stimulates Bee Venom production. No bees die in the venom extraction process

I am a little confused about the “Collected safely” phrase. In order to harvest bee venom the bee must be killed. As a beekeeper and concerned about the future of our bees (we are loosing and have lost over 1/3 of bees to a variety of things in our country over the last few years) I am not sure that this is safe for the bees at all.

I am wondering just how much venom is in a jar –

    Hi Mary

Thank you for raising this point. I did not know that bees died in the process. I should add that the bees come into contact with an electrically charged glass surface which stimulates bee venom production. The percentages in the mask are very low. thankyou for your questions I will add this very important information to my post.

    Hi Mary,

I am one of the owners of BeeVenomMask.com – thank you for your concerns/questions.

We are also very concerned about the future of our bees so I just want to clear something up. The bees definitely don’t die during the collection process with the techniques we use. Because the bees are only stinging a pane of glass their abdomens remain intact (they are wrenched from their body when they sting something they can penetrate which is what actually kills them). The bees do not die with this collection method.

The % of Bee Venom in the mask is very low, a lot less than 1%.

Thanks again for raising your concerns.

    Jude

It’s whole skincare range and especially the bee venom mask from Deborah Mitchell that the royals and celebrities use , not these other products. Deborah administers the treatments herself.
