Oats are remarkably cleansing. With healing, anti – inflammatory , softening & moisturizing properties, they are also high in silica & making them great for skin, nails & hair. For years professionals have heralded oats as the cleansing grain therefore recommending using oats for irritated, sensitive skin. Keep a jar of fine oatmeal near your sink, shower or bath & use it daily to cleanse every inch of your body. A couple of drops of lavender essential oil added to the mix will keep it fragrant. You can also wrap a handful of oats in a piece of muslin ( cheesecloth) and use as a wash ball on babies tender skin ……. they will love it.
