Here are 11 tips from BuzzFeed that were actually written by Cindy Gordon, stylist at Wardrobe Therapy. All the tips are practical, without needing for you to go buy a tons of clothes.

That is, you can do it with most things you have at home. There are ideas for using belts, asymmetrical dresses, and more!  I have shared this article as I too am a curvy shape and it really is a challenge to find looks that work for me, so when I came across these curvy girl tips I knew I had to share them with my fellow women.

One of my favorite things to wear are jeans, I don’t know why, they are not the most flattering for my curvy shape, but still I love jeans, so finding the right pair of jeans for my body type was/is important to me. When I find a style I like, I make sure to buy an extra pair, or different colors if they have them available.

Before we get to those tips, here are my own top tips for styling a curvy body –

Strike a balance between being fitted and being too tight. Shapewear should be in everyone’s wardrobe. Avoid dressing in leggings as pants unless you are wearing a tunic. Use dark colors to lengthen the silhouette and define the waist.

When it comes to dressing for your body shape, curvy girls have plenty of options to feel good and empowered about their curves. From flattering silhouettes to bold prints and bright colors, curvy girls can make the most of their body shape by dressing to flatter their curves.

One of the main advantages of dressing for your body shape is that it helps to enhance the features you love and minimize areas you don’t. The goal of dressing for your body shape is to draw attention to your best features and create an overall balanced look.

For curvy girls, this could mean opting for clothing with a more tailored fit to create definition and show off the shape of your body. It also means being strategic with color and prints, as bolder prints and brighter colors can draw the eye and make an outfit more eye-catching.

Another advantage of dressing for your body shape is that it can help you to feel more confident and empowered in your own skin. When you dress to flatter your shape, you’re showing yourself love and appreciation, and that can be a great way to boost your self-esteem. When you feel good about how you look, you’ll be more likely to take on the world with confidence.

Finally, dressing for your body shape can be a fun and creative way to express your personal style. Experimenting with different silhouettes, colors, and prints can help you to find an outfit that’s both stylish and flattering. With the right clothing, you can create a look that’s uniquely you and makes you feel beautiful and confident.

Dressing for your body shape is a great way for curvy girls to feel good and empowered about their curves. From flattering silhouettes to bold prints and bright colors, curvy girls can make the most of their body shape with clothing that celebrates their curves. With the right clothing and styling choices, curvy girls can feel beautiful, confident, and empowered in their own skin.
